Get used to hearing the name Matt Swinsky. The Atlanta-based cinematographer known simply as, “Swinsky,” and “Vine’s Horror King,” is one of the coolest/most twisted/awesome visual minds to call the city home. Here, Swinsky hops behind the camera for Reese’s, “Mobbin,” off of his latest project, DSNRTRAPN.
This is definitely NSFW, but if you like the movie “Kids” or just good, gritty film in general, this vid offers the perfect complement to the knock-you-on-your-ass delivery of “Mobbin.” Enjoy!
Chances are, whenever you catch Diwang Valdez in public or talk to him in person, he’s smiling. This was definitely the case when Valdez, the Atlanta-based photographer and a third of Motion Family spoke with 13thflr about his first photo series, “The Happy Rapper.”
There’s several reasons we’re pumped for this edition of Art, Beats + Lyrics, but mainly 1) The free spirits compliments of Gentlemen Jack and 2) Our family, Diwang Valdez, will finally unveil his “The Happy Rapper” photo series.
Trust us, you’ve never seen some of your favorite artists in the candid, jovial way that Diwang has captured them. Y’all can expect an interview with Mr. Valdez about “The Happy Rapper” in the near future.
Thanks for the heads up, Fadia Kader! See y’all tomorrow in West Midtown! First drinks on us. Ha!
My brothers, friends and arguably some of the best video directors in the game, Motion Family, were recently profiled by CNN’s Nick Valencia. Years ago I wrote treatments for these fellas (I even took that photo that’s the only still image in this package) and actually introduced David KA to Diwang Valdez eons before that when we were all at Grand Hustle’s short-lived, Dapper Magazine.
I’m glad the team linked up with Nick, who really pushed me too come to CNN and still checks in when he’s not reporting on Mexican drug cartels and the real-life stories that give grown folks nightmares.
